can't beat the price
I ordered this printer in mid-November, and so far I've been very happy with it. It prints very fast and the print quality is excellent. For instance, you can print complete graphics with backgrounds and everything comes out clear and easily readable. HP has a good thing going with this product line -- we're all tired of changing inkjet cartridges and getting smudged prints, but who wants to pay $500+ for a heavy unit designed for office use (Brother, Canon, Epson)? This printer is light and easy to store, although it's not as small as you might think. Since the trays stick out, it takes a full corner of my home desk. Installing it was a little bit of a hassle since my computer (Win XP) could not immediately recognize all the installed drivers. So the easiest way to install it is to go through the "Add Printer" wizard.

Excellent printer; shoddy 3rd party delivery from Amazon
Firstly, I'd like to endorse all the other positive reviews of the HP LaserJet 1012. I initially purchased this printer to replace a lousy Epson C82 inkjet that kept sucking up ink and clogging. The 1012 LaserJet is fast (7 seconds to start up and print), quiet, and produces excellent black and white documents. Couldn't be happier with it.

I wish I could say the same about Amazon's delivery methods. When I purchased this printer, it was unfortunately fulfilled through Office Depot. That meant a shipping charge (which originally hadn't been on the web page) and sales tax. Fine.

The trouble came when I found the printer for $50 less on HPshopping.com the very next day. I immediately tried to cancel my purchase on Amazon.com but found the order had been locked, even though no discernible fulfillment or shipping was in process. I immediately called Office Depot because it was obvious that they had not shipped it yet (there was no tracking trail yet via UPS).

Unfortunately, Amazon.com failed to provide me with any useful information that could be related to Office Depot. Their unfriendly Customer Service Rep didn't recognized my tracking Order, my name, or anything about my order. As far as Office Depot was concerned, I didn't exist. And yet, they were going to ship me a printer.

I had to wait 8 days for Office Dept to finally fulfil my order. Ironically, HPShopping.com delivered my printer 2 days later, a full 5 days before Office Depot got around to me, even though my HP order was made a day later (go figure). When I immediately took my unwanted printer to the Post Office to mail it back after calling Office Depot for an RMA number, I was a bit horrified to find the cheapest method of mailing the printer back cost $23.96. I plunked down the plastic and that's all she wrote.

I suggest skipping buying this printer from Amazon. There's no retail cost savings (it's $199 everywhere or less). No tax savings. Shipping costs to add in. And return costs if you decide you don't like/want/need the printer.

Go to the store and buy it there instead.

Great Printer, Unbeatable Price!
I got this printer on sale for about $150 delivered to replace an aging HP 5L. The print quality is excellent and significanly better than the old 5L. This printer is also exceptionally compact and fits nicely on the shelf of my computer desk. Overall, the printer is extremely fast and appears to print at the stated rate. I printed a 35 page document and had no problems with the printer slowing down. Setup is a breeze and took lest than 5 minutes. Feeding envelopes or indvidual sheets is simple as well; there's a small icon stamped on the plastic paper tray to guide your way. Alas the only downside is you'll have to buy a USB cable since one isn't included -- this is probably a non-issue since most free USB cables are usually too short. Bottom line, this printer works great for home and small office use. This is a wonderful monochorme printer for a college or high school student as well. HP quality at a rock bottom price, I don't see how you can go wrong. I highly recommend this printer.

OK Little Printer
I needed a cheap printer quick and this one happened to fill the bill. The toner catridges are readily available, the print quality is all right and set up on xp was pretty much what would be expected from any printer. It even networked without a fuss.

Conclusion: If you need a cheap printer for not too demanding jobs this is one.

Fast but poor quality
I've just bought this printer to replace my old LaserWriter 4/600, which
was a cheap and compact laser printer (when Apple had them). I'm moved
from Mac to XP and connecting it to a PC is impossible and I had to buy
another printer. LaserJets are well known so I decided to buy one which
promises a good resolution --not a real 1200 x 1200 but at least a
promising 600 x 600 x 2.

However, when I printed the first page I was very disappointed because this
resolution is in fact much worse than my 600 x 600 LaserWriter and not much
better than a good ink jet printer. Why? With the 4/600 letter contours
looked rounded and crisp, while with the 1012 are jagged and fuzzy. No ink
dots outside letters in the 4/600, but lots of them in the 1012 which makes
a sort of halo around the letters (there is a noticeable shadow in vertical
strokes). Letter strokes lose their proportions below 10 pt and the
horizontal one in "e" (Times) is almost missing. There are in addition

distorted letters, some of them with bumps and even wrongly rendered (like
a bold omega). The result is ugly and a lot below one could expect from a
good laser printer.

If you bought yourself a financial calculator during the 1980s, chances are it was this bad boy. Nothing has changed since its introduction--it still uses Reverse Polish Notation (RPN), is easy and versatile in programming, and has a thin, sturdy casing. Certainly, there's been newer, fancier calculators introduced since, but there's something to be said for the quality of classics.

The HP 12C's functions include all the basics--such as calculating APR, NPV, and IRR--and statistics are a snap. For students new to financial calculators, this is an excellent place to start. For the most part, the manual reads like a minitextbook, walking you through sample problems and situations followed by graphs and tables demonstrating the technique--and you can even check your results. The section on creating programs does seem to be written for the technically ignorant, addressing in detail how you could possibly benefit from using programs, but it'll still help you get the job done.

In general, it's a bit slower than newer models, just like last year's computer isn't as speedy as today's new release. On the plus side, it's just 3 by 5 inches and slips easily into a pocket. The bottom is printed with a few little cheat notes for common functions, which is nice for quick reference. The HP 12C's one-year warranty and available tech-support line offer reassurance this little workhorse will continue to be an industry standard for years to come. --Jill Lightner

The only one calculator you'll ever need
Why would you buy a 1980's calculator? Because it provides the best combination of form and function.

While other calculators have gone high-end and become curiosities of mathematics and graphics, HP's customers do not want to let go of the 12-C, despite the fact that HP has more powerful calculators at a slightly larger price. Here's why I think:

Just the right set of features. The average Joe using a financial calculator needs no more than the HP-12C provides.

Sturdy and strong. The keys have a wonderful feel.

Fits in a shirt pocket.

Very reliable. They've had two decades to iron out any bugs.

Large user base. Most financial courses will use this as the calculator of choice

Buy this calculator, if you need a financial calculator. You will not regret it -- I daresay that it will still be around when your kids need their own calculators.

Every MBA student and grad should get one
While I don't have an MBA, it's hard to believe that a calculator I learned how to use in 1987 during undergraduate business courses is still the standard for the quick calculating financial world. Any finance professional over 30 will know how to use this, and in a pinch, you might need to know how to use it. I know the TI-8x series has financial functions and the graphic capabilities may make those calculators worthwhile. But for most financial pros, if it can't be done on an HP12C, then you probably need a computer.

The RPN system isn't hard to learn (at a basic level it works similar to an adding machine), and the functions on this calculator take input and spit out output in a way similar to Excel (i.e. negative numbers for payments and positive for future value, etc.). I found mine the other day after not using it for a while and immediately used it for a discounted cash flow quick analysis I was later planning to do in Excel. It told me the on-the-fly answer I needed.

The gold standard of financial calculators
I have been using my HP12C since 1985 and I won't give it up! Back in 1985 it cost me $150 ... now it's 1/3 the price (or less). I purchased a Texas Instruments BA-?? in 1984 which failed after 6 months (the buttons went bad). The HP has not failed in any way at all since 1985, and on top of that, the first set of batteries lasted 10 years! Yes, I did use the calculator a lot, and I can't explain how but the batteries lasted 10 years (and no one replaced them without my knowing about it).

This calculator has no errors. The other reviewers didn't understand that they were the ones with errors, not their calculators. They didn't find the proper settings, of which there are many with this calculator.

RPN is so foreign to most people that they can't understand why anyone would want to use RPN. If you use RPN for a little while, you don't want to go back. Also, the horizontal design of this calculator is unique and should be duplicated -- it makes it much easier to put on a desk and read horizontally across figures and make calculations. People who use vertically designed calculators don't know what they are missing.

This is the best -- do yourself a favor and buy the best!

Not what it used to be.
I bought my first HP in my first year of engineering school, about 15 years ago. Every calculator that I owned since then has been full RPN. I live in fear that HP will eventually give up this market.

Because I just entered the CFA program, and because the CFA exams only permit the HP 12c and some other non-RPN calculator, I recently purchased a new 12c last month.

Alas, the HP build quality is not what it used to be. Many reviewers argue that it's not bad, and it's not--it's better than a $20 Walmart special. However, I paid a lot more than $20, so I expect a lot more.

The screen display is twitchy (doesn't light up the right pixels from time to time) and the buttons are looser than they should be. Once I get the warranty replacement, the display problem won't be a problem anymore, but I shouldn't need to go through the warranty for an $80 calculator, or for a famous HP-12c.

However, if you want an RPN business calculator, this is what you're stuck with. It's a great calculator, but the build quality is miserable. Bottom line: if you need it, hold your nose and buy it.

Buttons in the wrong places
Need I say more? Three of the buttons are in the wrong place. One of them isn't even labeled, I had to look at the website picture to figure this out.

Not perfect, but plenty servicable - and RPN!
I'm a very long-time HP/RPN user (even had an RPN calculator NOT made by HP - National Semiconductor!) and have quie a few of them lying around. I really liked the 32SII, but I lost one, and another is sometimes deciding to ignore keystrokes. And I have a few 48-series (way too big and too much for my needs), and an 11C.

The 33S is a reasonable attempt at a 32SII replacement. The styling is unnecessarily cluttered and more than a little strange, but it's functionally darn near identical to the 32. The teeny decimal point is sub-optimal, but I can see it well enough. The functions assigned to the big keys under the display seem pretty arbitrary - I can see the modes and display settings - but a giant key for ENG display? The 'enter' key is small and inconspicuous, and in an odd place. And the meta/superscript-keys are just about impossible to see, particularly the purple right superscript.

All that aside, it works, and it keeps RPN alive, and I'd probably have to quit rocket science and instead go work in the food service industry if I had to use algebraic calculators again.

It remains to be seen if it would pass the drop test, and how long it lasts. It seems solid enough and certainly more sturdy-feeling than the usual POS TI and Casios. It's well made and everything fits the way it should. The keys are hard plastic as God intended, and the key action is slightly stiffer than the usual HP, but very secure and so far I haven't had a missed keystroke.

I think it's also an excellent value for about $50.

Overall, I'm reasonably satisfied.

The best scientific RPN calculator currently available...
Because it's the only one available, unless you want to fork over $200+ on Ebay for a HP32SII (even used). This calculator is essentially the 32SII in a different case a with a few minor additions. It has an algebraic mode as well as RPN, but the only reason you should buy this calculator at all is if you want to use RPN. In fact, if you don't want to use RPN, you can stop reading now.

The keyboard is... interesting. I'm not sure what HP was going for with the funky chevron; I think it looks a bit funny, other people think it looks cool. Functionally, the keyboard works well. The plastic keys feel good, and though the non-uniform shape may be a little disorienting at first, I got used to it fairly quickly.

It is programmable, but only in a very limited sense. The increased memory compared to the 32SII is not useful, because only 27 variables exist (A..Z, i) with which to use it. Programming the 33S, like the 32SII, is more like assembly language than anything else, but the manual describes the process very well and gives many examples of what can be done with it. Also, it's very difficult to keep more than one or two programs in memory because there are also only 27 available labels. If you want to make or use complicated programs, consider the HP48GX (also RPN).

It can perform definite integrations, and given an equation in one variable it can solve for it numerically. It does not do polynomial root finding or solutions of linear systems, though these functions can be programmed. It can handle complex (imaginary) math, but it reduces the 4 level stack to only 2 levels, and requires a few extra keystrokes. If you're doing lots of complex math, again, the HP48GX is a better choice.

It also comes with a very nice leather slip-on cover. It's not as beefy as the hard plastic covers you see on most calculators these days, but it should protect the calculator against minor dings.

The manual is very thorough with lots of explanations and examples of all the calculator's capabilities.

The bottom line is, buy this calculator if you want a small, simple, easy-to-use RPN scientific calculator. It's particularly good for engineering. Minus one star for the programming limitations.

What a shame
I recently received a 33s. I've found the display completely unusable, not only is the decimal point ridiculously small; the numbers are not spaced as well as earlier models, exacerbating the problem.

I don't see how anyone is the design group at HP could have found this acceptable...sent it back the same day.

Small decimal point makes it unusable
Before you buy an HP 33s, key in 22.22 and see if your eyes can spot the decimal point. It's about a half of a pixel! After making numerous mistakes because of this bad design, I ordered an HP 49G+ Graphics calculator with beautiful, clear characters. So if you have eyes like spiderman, you'll probably be happy with the 33s.

A great calculator
I had a 32SII for years. It met with an unfortunate accident some time back. Imagine my excitement when I read about the 33s!

Well, first off, let's get the display issue out of the way. Yes, the radix mark is tiny. Very tiny. Yes, it is a design error. It's hard to spot. But does it make the calculator difficult to use? Not for me, as I usually have a pretty good idea what answer I should get before I punch things in. The display is large, clear and exhibits excellent contrast.

I have no idea how good the algebraic mode is. I use RPN exclusively. I dislike algebraic calculators. I really don't have that sort of time to waste when I'm using a calculator. The 33s uses the same stack structure as so many HP calculators before it, so general use is just like using an old friend- Familiar, easy, and very efficient.

The keyboard is odd looking, but the looks of the keyboard are not a problem for me. Others have complained that the green and purple used on the two shift keys are difficult to distinguish in low light. I suppose this is true, but about three minutes of use should allow you to memorize their positions. And, if you cannot, perhaps the clear, easy to read annunciators in the display will help. The keyboard's 'touch' is excellent. The keys snap nicely when pressed, providing very good tactile feedback.

The machine seems well made. It is a nice size for me. And the unique 'ENG' button, which allows a numer to be shifted to engineering format, is a unique and very useful feature.

Just like the 32SII, the assortment of available functions is excellent. It even has the most common metric conversions available at the touch of two keys, a feature invaluable in my field.

The included documentation is well written and concise, and far more complete than what comes with most calculators these days.

worked well for me
Printing from photoshop elements 3 (both the organizer portion and the editing portion) produced an image that was very close to the screen colors of my calibrated screen.I'm using a laptop which I calibrated with photocal.I chose the correct paper and ink setup in the driver AND made sure to go into printer properties and select for the application to manage color.The prints matched the screen...no problem.(including skintones)The cartridge also includes a plastic cover to cover up the nozzle when you store it.So you can change out cartridges all you want, just put the cover on it and things will be fine.

Now, to the negatives....the cartridge is small, and the default driver setting is for something called colorsmart color matching.ugh....hideous.Set it for the program to handle it instead.I have no idea how many 8x10 prints I'll get out of this cart, but I've printed about 20 so far today.

FWIW, I didn't use HP's image editing software since I own elements.These settings worked like a champ in elements, but I have no idea about how other programs will work.This was also with a hp2710 all in one printer.

Poor reproduction of flesh tones with this cartridge
I was unhappy with the results with the 'six color' printing that occurs when you swap this cartridge for the no. 94 (black) cartridge. I put this in my machine (HP6210) and printed a test on HP paper. I printed a second picture when a put the no. 94 cartridge back (in effect making it a 'four color' device, which is what you would normally have in the printer). The same picture looked better when printed with the four colors. Most notable were the flesh tones-MUCH more lifelike. I would hold off on spending $24 for one of these, primarily because the result is not worth it, but also because the manner which HP designs the ink set-up. It's kind of a nuisance to have to swap out the black cartridge, because if you forget to put it back, you'll end up with a very high cost-per-page for regular printing of documents. ... Read more

The Photosmart R707 has a 1/1.8-inch CCD with a 5.1-megapixel resolution (effective) for 2612 x 1968 pixel images. It also has a 1296 x 976 pixel low-resolution mode. The 3x optical zoom lens has an 8-24mm focal length (equivalent to 39-117mm in 35mm photography). It also has an 8x digital zoom to help you get even closer to the action.

Video and Audio
In addition to still imagery, the Photosmart R707 can also capture high-quality MPEG1 video with audio. It has a high-resolution video setting of 320 x 240 pixels and 30 frames per second. Movie length is only limited by the amount of storage you have on hand (either internal memory or external memory card). You can also capture voice notes of up to 60 seconds in length.

More Features
With HP's Instant Share feature, printing and sharing photos with friends and family is quick and simple. You can select a destination--e-mail addresses, online albums, printers and more--on the back of the camera with a single push of a button. When connected to a PC (either via the included USB cable or via the optional dock), the selected images are automatically printed and/or e-mailed. E-mail recipients see thumbnails of the images right in the body of their e-mail message, as well as a link to the web page where they can view, print and save the photos.

• HP Image Advice, which analyzes photos and then provides tips to users on how to adjust settings to improve future shots, thus helping the photographer learn to take better photos.
• HP In-Camera Red-Eye Removal, which instantly removes red-eye from photos right on the camera without using a PC--an industry first.
• HP In-Camera Panorama Preview, which allows consumers to take up to five pictures that are then combined into a panorama picture composition and reviewed in-camera.
• HP Adaptive Lighting, which automatically adjusts high-contrast photos to bring faces out of shadows and details out of backgrounds. This feature balances brightness relationships between bright and dark areas in a photo, preserving gentle contrasts while compressing harsh contrasts.

Direct Printing
The Photosmart R707 offers PictBridge functionality, which enables you to transfer pictures from your digital camera to a compatible printer without a PC or image-editing software. Images can be viewed and selected for printing right on the camera's LCD, with menus for print quantity, date, and index print.

Storage and Transfer
Images can be stored in the built-in 32 MB memory, or on optional Secure Digital (SD) or MultiMedia (MMC) memory cards. The internal 32 MB memory will store 12 Fine and 23 Standard 5.1-megapixel images. The R707 transfers images to PCs and Macs via a speedy USB 2.0 connection (which is backward compatible with USB 1.1 ports).

Wonderful little camera
This is my third digital camera. I have owned a Fuji FinePix and a Pentax Optio S4. This camera performs so much better than either one of those. The good points: Great video, crystal clear images, super easy to use, removes red eye after pic is taken, adaptive lighting really works, good battery life. The bad points: a little slower than some cameras when it comes to processing images(but it is worth it), no case or SD card (seems to be a trend with most digitals).

I researched this camera and the Canon Powershot S410 and S500. When comparing the two, the HP had 2 or 3 better features than the Canon. I was hesitant about buying the HP, because it was so new that there was not a lot of customer feedback. I guess the selling point that just made my decision easier was the red eye in camera removal, since I take lots of close ups of my children.

I am so happy with my purchase. I would recommend this camera to anyone. The auto features make picture taking a no-brainer, but if you do want to get creative, you can adjust almost anything, in the manual mode.

HP Delivers with the R707
HP finally delivers a Camera that puts themselves above the crowd. I've been a fan of HP for a long time and the HP R707 is a big jump in quality from their previous cameras. The first thing I noticed was the speed. Everything from taking pictures to navigating the menus was lightning fast. HP has also packed the camera with great software. Built into the camera are features for removing red eye, making panoramic scenes, adjusting bad lighting in pictures...ect. The camera also does not use double A batteries, which I always burned through on my previous cameras. I was able to use the camera continuously for about two hours constantly using the flash and lcd screen with the lithium-ion batteries.

I had no problems with the software and the camera was synced in under 10 minutes. I really like the Arcsoft panoramic maker.

I give the Camera four out of five stars because I thought HP should of included a Secure Digital memory card with the camera. It does not come with a removable memory card and I thought that was cheap on their behalf.

Overall, I highly recommend this camera if you are looking for a point and shoot device.

Best Quality in its Price Range.
You won't find a better camera for this price. I bought this camera in August while on vacation. I had read raving reviews about the camera prior to getting it, and they were right. What I love most is that the camera fits in my back Jean's pocket. Now that it's winter I have it in my coat pocket every day. The battery lasts forever and has no "memory problems". The camera comes with its own recharger and the battery takes between 6-8 hours to charge, can be done when you go to bed. <br />The camera has many features you only find on more expensive cameras at half the price. The 5 megapixel shots are astounding in crispness and color fidelity. It does not come with an SD card, but it has built in memory which allows you to take various shots depending on the quality setting. All the cameras that come with a card include one with so little memory that they are not even worth using and require the purchase of an additional card, so I don't see the lack of one as a drawback on the R707. I have taken pictures and had them developed at the kiosks in some of the stores for 29 cents a piece and I only have to develop the one's I like. I never have to buy or develop film, I can email the images to family instantly with the camera's features and can even print them on any color printer with the press of a button. If you want stunning photos and the lowest price with the easiest user interface, then this is the one to get; you can't go wrong.

Love it!
I just bought the r707 a few weeks ago, and I LOVE it. I spent a lot of time researching and I would have never thought of getting an HP, but I finally decided to get this camera after testing it in the store. It replaced a 2 megapixel canon elph, which produced average pictures. The interface for this camera is much more user-friendly than my old elph, and the pictures are gorgeous too--the colors are sharp and crisp. It's just so fun to use! You do need to take advantage of the many modes and setting options to get beautiful images in all conditions (low light etc) but it's not hard to do that and worth the effort. It also does really well with action shots.

Lens in the Viewfinder -----
I just bought this camera. Its a nice design overall...but suffers from one major flaw. The lens is visible in the bottom right-hand corner of the viewfinder.

I read many detailed reviews before purchasing and none of them mention this....WHY ? Don't others find this a distraction when composing pictures ? HP has designed all these nifty features not available on other cameras... They got the styling right all in a nice tight package but really dropped the ball on the most basic feature of all....optics.

I called HP to make sure that my unit wasn't defective. The rep powered up a camera and comfirmed that yes you do see 'a bit of the lens' but it doesn't print !....well duh...I know it doesn't print. So basically its good to know mine is not defective...they are ALL defective, IMO. Told the rep mine was going back to the store tomorrow. HP 10B Calculator not up to standards
Having used HP business calculators for nearly 20 years, and having taught over 30,000 people how to use them, I am very disappointed in the HP10BII. It appears to me that HP built a calculator to compete with the [low priced]business calculators on the market. They succeded in building a [low priced]calculator. If it were merely inexpensive, it would be fine, but it's [low priced]. I have never had an HP calculator go bad until I had a 10BII. Less than a year after buying it, half of the display disappeared. After changing batteries - never required in the first year of ownership of any other HP business calculator, the display came back for a day. HP graciously replaced it with a calculator that had a key go bad within two weeks. A third calculator is on the way. HP used to have a reputation of having the most durable and dependable calculators on the market. They have lost that reputation with this piece of junk. I don't know if I will ever again assume that an HP calculator is a good calculator. The only reason I still use it is because the 10B is no longer available and the College for which I teach wants students to use the 10BII.

Don't buy it!
I've owned an HP12C calculator for more years than I can count and I love it. I needed to purchase the 10BII because it is the calculator required for the British Columbia Real Estate Exam. Before I received my calculator, I borrowed one from a friend to begin studying. When I received my calculator, I noticed the FV key did not function properly and several of the other keys seemed to function inconsistently. I contacted HP for a replacement because I didn't want to be without the calculator. HP is supposedly sending on via Fed Ex, but in the meantime, I've discovered that on many of the example problems I can input the exact key strokes provided in the work/study book and don't get the correct answer. I can get the correct answer on the 12C and on my friend's calculator, but not on the one I purchased. I'm so frustrated and p.o.'d at this point, I don't want to own a 10BII at all. I'm returning the one I purchased (and the replacement, if it ever gets here) and borrowing my friend's calculator for the test. Then it's back to my 12C.

Shame on HP for producing a calculator of such inferior quality.

Very Good.
I bought the calculator for my finance class. It works very nicely and it performed all the functions necessary for my class. the reason i gave only 4 stars is because of the buttons which at times do not work as smoothly. otherwise the calculator is fine and very easy to learn and use. I recommend it especially at $31.99.

Very Satisfied
I just recently purchased the HP PSC 1315 from another retailer. It was on sale at a reasonable price. The installation was difficult at first because I also just recently bought a new computer which was already HP Printer-ready which caused the installation CD to not allow the software to be completed. I called Technical Support and talked with a very nice man in India who walked me through the entire process, staying on the line with me until everything was complete, including the printer working properly. It turned out that I needed to eliminate a couple of things on the computer that were preventing the software from being installed. I am very happy with my 1315--it's really superfast with printing the pages (in black ink)! HP could lower the price of the ink cartridges though. I didn't realize how expensive they are just for one cartridge!!

Software shut computer down
I bought my HP PSC 1315 at COSTCO without researching. It worked nicely when first installed on my Athlon processor with Windows XP home. The next time I turned on the computer the installed HP software immediately kicked my computer into restart. Very frustrating was the blue screen error message that remained up only long enough for an idiot savant to read.

I have spent too much time on other computer equipment that didn't work and after a few quick checks decided that there must be a printer/scanner that will work without hassle and returned this one.

Look before you leap
Tried to hook up to a 3yr old Compaq Deskpro EN with windows 2000 professional [could not get program to fully load or configure] & I spent many hours on the phone to HP with NO luck at all.The scanner/copier lid had a lot of play & when I tried to copy a Birth certificate it cut off 1/4in on 3 sides & a 1/2in on the bottom.
