USB Sync/Charger
Let me say right off that this product worked from the "get go". It sync'd and charged without a problem; however, when I went to remove it from my 3955, it wouldn't let go! It seems that the metal clips which hold it in place are not the best for this job.
While it does the job it was intended for (sync/charge), I'll look into the same product from Belkin or Fellows.

You get what you pay for
After tweaking the thing for a bit it finally worked. The first time I plugged it into my 3835 it wouldn't let go, and I had to wrestle with it for a minute or two before prying it out. I found there was plastic from the mold still attached to the connector, so I trimmed it off and tried it again, only to find it was now too loose. Finally, I pinched the connector a bit and it worked. It's tempermental, but if you don't mind messing with it it beats carrying around the OEM cradle.

Doesn't work at all for my iPaq and multiple computers
I've tested this across 3 computers with Windows 2000. None work, no power for charging, no sync, not anything!

I would steer people towards gomadic.com for a better cable that I will purchase to replace this junker. I believe Targus sells this type of product as well. Probably works too! ;)

Will return this and not buy anything from this company again.

Great Product Works as advertised
This cable is a great solution if you dont want to carry your cradle all over the place. The cable synced as well as charges my ipaq. Lousy workmanship never buy

wow, this is more useful than i thought it could be
This is a huge jump for me from a visor(palm os), as long as you like windows os you should be really happy with this pda. it is fast, has plenty of storage for apps and the colors are beautiful. it has multimedia, music, video and jpgs. with windows xp, the device appears as a networked resource when synched, which is very neat. i find that i am able to read books on this device, because the graphics are so good, unlike my palm. i have used the bluetooth capability, and it was moderately difficult to configure on my network. it does seem to suck up power, but i have never experienced powere loss. i have had it for 6 months now, and have only had to reboot the thing once, and it was the result of some crappy shareware.

When you need it, its there in the car to do its thing.
When the battery runs down while in the car ... I listen to mp3s as my car radio doesn't work and the music is better with ear phones anyway ... you are just stuck with a dead iPAC until you can get it to the cradle ... unless you have this really useful charger stored in the glove compartment. Just plug one end into the cigarette lighter and the other end to the iPAC and you are back in business again, whether listening to music or just needing the iPAC fully charged for that important appointment. A great accessory!

Dont leave home without it.
The batteries fizzle on the ipaq pretty quick. You'll need
this to keep a fresh charge.

Doesn't work with the IPAQ 3835 Series
This is advertised as one of the accessories when you look at the main Amazon page for the IPAQ 3835, but you have to read the details to see it's only for the 3650. Bought it and then had to return it because of this, I'm sure it works fine for the 3650 though.

Works great! Wonderful design!
I really like the fact that this cradle is also a stand. I like the angle at which it holds the iPaq, which is conducive to looking at the "Today" screen easily - at a glance - when it is sitting on my desk next to my computer. I also like that the power cable is removable, so that I can use it even if I am not using the cradle, and the way that the cables fit under the base is very nice, making it easy to ensure that the cradle sits flat. Unlike the USB cable - sans cradle - that I had with an earlier iPaq, I have never had a single problem with the cradle, or either of its cables. Unlike one of the other reviewers, I have never had any problems with the fit of the device into the cradle, either; I think the cradle's guide, which fits where the power cable attaches to the iPaq when the cradle is not in use, helps ensure that the device is inserted correctly. I have found the cradle, also, to be very rugged; I usually toss it im my bag with all my other junk and take it to work with me. It doesn't require any "care and feeding".

Works great
I've been using the USB cradle for about a year now, and never had any problems with it. One thing I did notice is when there is an expansion pack being used, sliding it into the cradle to connect can be difficult at times. I do recommend having two cradles if you use your Compaq at home and at work.

Doesn't work
After two months, my Ipaq cradle stopped working. The alignment of the Pocket PC is such that it does not line up with the cradle, so in order to sync with my computer, I have to manually tilt the IPAQ forward in the cradle. In order to charge it, I have to plug eht power directly into the IPAQ.

Mechanically, this is a very poor design.

Doesn't work after 2 months
My IPAQ cradle stopped working after 2 months. The only way I can synchronize my IPAQ is to manulally hold the IPAQ in the cradle and tip it forward. I have to unplug the power from the cradle and plug it directly into the IPAQ to charge the device.

What a find!
I read about this product in a magazine and thought Wow, just what I need! I nearly gave it a 4 star due to lack of instructions (1 page). I even got cold feet the night before and dragged my notebook computer with me to the meeting. It all seemed too easy. I plugged in it in and there it was in glorious color on the screen. OK, but quality is disappointing
I have a 3970 Ipaq. After my plastic IPAQ case wore out in a year, I thought I'd give this aluminum one a try. The first one arrived with the front all scratched up (from poorly designed packaging, I suspect). Amazon.com was great about quickly replacing it. The second one also had a few scratches on it when received, but enough is enough. It'll get its own scratches in time.

The fit of the case is so-so, and I can't leave the 3970 in the case when I need to use the Ipaq sync cradle. The case simply is too wide to fit the cradle. I don't believe any judicious bending will make it fit either. Also, it's easy to slide the 3970 out of the case without opening the cover. One time, the unit almost fell out in my pocket.

It's a rugged case, but needs some more attention to detail.

OK Package..
This is an OK package for IPAQ 3800/3900 owners, since you get a bunch of stuff for ~[money]. The hot sync cable is worth about [money] by itself, of course. The metal case is pretty cool .. but you can't see through it (obviously) like you can the IPAQ's original case. I often just want to look at my Today screen, right through the opaque case.

The styluses are fine, they're perfect matches to the original equipment.

The screen protectors .. which will usually run you [money], are OK. These are my first screen protectors, so I don't know how they compare .. but I will say that they need to be taller. There's a very small but noticeable gap, as the screen protector just doesn't cover the entire screen perfectly.

Okay for scratches, but...
It'll keep the screen from getting scratched and lets you cradle sync without removing from PDA, but not much more protection. I banged the side of of my 5450 on a chair while it was in the sleeve and the screen got cracked. Now I keep it in the sleeve and a padded case when carrying.

Does as much damage as without it
The design seemed very logical and fresh during initial use. But later I discovered the plastic cover wasn't very smooth inside, and it caused a few major scratches both front and back of my iPAQ. If you hate having scratches on your PDA, avoid this product!!! Get a E&B leather case instead.

buy at your own risk
first, the salesperson told me it will work with my new ipaq 2215 running pocket PC2003, so i gave it a try. but i should have read these amazon comments before i do this!

Guess what, no, it doesn't work. it only work immediately after a soft reset, and only under its special "keyboard setting" screen, not in word documents, notes, emails, not anywhere else. then, after i ran some other programs, it just stop working altogether.

okay, maybe it works fine for ipaq 3800/3900, but get this: i tried to go to their website for update drivers for the new OS. Their website: ... (a taiwanese company) is no longer in service! So, even if I had a 3800/3900, i'll think twice before getting this product.

Do not buy this keyboard --- it is worthless
This is not worth your time or money. The keyboard is horrible, the installation instructions impossible to understand, the setup procedure does not work well. I purchased two of these, returned one immediately and found the other defective. ...

Doesn't even rate 1 star
This product is worthless. I returned it as soon as I saw how the product was designed. Everything about this product is poor; from keys that are difficult to press, to a space bar that is split, to the hinge in the middle of the keyboard that acts like a barrier to fingers that might try to cross it. Save the frustration.

Worst Keyboard ever
I bought on of these things because I needed a keyboard for data entry on my IPAQ and didn't have much cash. I found that it's folded form was really small, but... It's actual use as a keyboard was horrid. The typing felt all wrong and most of the thing didn't seem to be able to keep up with my typing. Sure, the pause from pressing a key and it showing up on the ipaq was small, but when your typing long lines of data it's unacceptable. In short.. I returned it and coughed up the cash for the Stowaway.

ZERO connectivity!
This product is very selfish! I bought it expecting an extra port or something that would allow me to hook it up to my computer or a modem or something and type while it's connected. Nope.
