Accounting Idiot
I currently use Ver. 2004 and have not upgraded to v. 2005 but I can say that I love this software.It is inexpensive and does everything you need it to do.

I only took one accounting class (hated it) almost 15 years ago so I knew very little about how to keep my own books.I just started my own business and thought I should have some formal record of my financials even if my accountant would have to clean it up later.Simply accounting had wonderful tutorials on CD (included) and I was able to go directly to what area I needed help with.I have to admit that I had to start over with a new company a couple of times because I messed up some entries, but that was because I am not an accountant and didn't want a bunch of adjustments to correct entries.

I read the other review and yes, you do get a pop-up window that asks if you are sure you want to enter something older than 7 days, but you can change that in the options.I don't have a lot of paperwork yet so I probably enter documents in maybe once or twice a month and I have NO problems with these infrequent entries.

I even created my own personalized invoices, POs, receipts, etcthat match my letterhead.I can email or print these out for clients.It sends emails through Outlook.

The best part is the wizard.When you set up a new company, the wizard will ask you what type of business you are running and then develop an account list based on that.I was able to add and delete my own as I went along.

If you believe you can be taught accounting, give this program a try.

Hard to use and unforgiving of errors
I've used Simply Accounting for my small business for 12 months. It is a decent basic accounting package with all the features you would expect. However, it is hard to work with and extremely unforgiving.

The first problem is that Simply Accounting assumes that you will always enter all transactions in ascending date order, and that you use the program at least every week. The root cause is Simply Accounting's concept of the "current session date". The program complains if you enter any transaction that is more than 7 days before or after this date. It also complains if you then try to move the session date to another date more than 7 days away -- as if this were some major accounting heresy. So if you are going through your paperwork catching up on your accounts at the end of the month, this gets incredibly annoying very quickly.

Secondly, if you ever have the temerity to enter one transaction that precedes any other, you get another warning that the earlier transaction will affect any reports you might have run. Gee, there's a surprise. There is no way to turn this annoying warning off. So you'd better order all your paperwork by date, or else suffer death by a thousand clicks to dismiss this warning message every time.

Thirdly, if you make a mistake entering a transaction, there is no way to go back and correct the transaction. You can reverse transactions, but this means adding a second transaction to back out the old one and a third for the corrected transaction. I understand that this is important for audit trail purposes, but make it possible to collapse the audit trail into a single transaction. If you're just fat fingered like me or forget to change the date from the last transaction (this happens to me a lot), your accounts become littered with incorrect transactions and their reversals -- three transactions for each mistake. If renders any kind of reporting on account transactions almost useless, because the debit and credit columns are swelled by (irrelevant) transaction errors and their corrections. I'm a one-man business -- I don't need an audit trail to show that I messed up the date of a payment or invoice. It obscures the view of how well/badly my business is actually doing.

The user interface compounds these problems. For most transactions, you want to enter the date, the payee or payor, the amount(s), and the account(s) to book the expense/revenue against. However, the forms are not laid out in this order on the screen. You'll need to navigate by mousing and clicking extensively to get to these fields and enter the relevant information. This is why it's so very easy to get the wrong date for a transaction -- not only is the date field not the first on the form, you need to press Tab more than 6 times to get there from the payee/payor field. To enter the account efficiently, you'll need to have memorized its 4 digit code. No, you can't start typing the first few characters of the name of the account and have the software auto-complete. If you click on the pick-list of accounts, they are ordered by account code and not alphabetically, which makes it vastly harder to find the account you want to use.

Finally, the software assumes you are fluent in accounting jargon, terminology and practices. It claims to have a mode where it uses "non accounting terms" but this is more confusing than using the actual terms themselves. There's no help for novice business owners -- you'll need to get a basic grounding in account-keeping because the software and manuals offer little to no help. ... Read more

Save your money.
The fact that it is called a stacking bracket led me to believe that it would be useful for stacking.In fact, it is only useful for stacking some of the smaller footprint Linksys products on top of a full-size one.I was hoping to put it between a couple of full-size units to allow more airflow, but it doesn't work.

Also, as for the wall mount feature, the router (or whatever product you mount), is only secured to the bracket by the friction of the four short little legs poked into the four holes on the bracket.There is no additional screw or fastener.Linksys says "don't put any pressure at all" on the wall-mounted item.

Plus, who needs ten of them?

Very limited use for this product, if any.

I don't get it. Neither should you.
This would be useful if you're trying to leapfrog a weak 802.11b signal further across your building that it's designed to go. But why buy the router and mounting bracket for that stepping stone, instead of getting the faster 802.11g router to begin with?

Great Product
This Flash Drive is the deluxe version of many other flash drives I have by different manufacturers. This one is elegant in design, very small (I was surprised by how small it is), and having the flip open end is great since there is no cap to lose. It is also very fast even on a USB 1.0 port. Highly recommended.

Invaluable
There isn't much to say about this little device other than the fact that it works exactly as it's supposed to.First of all, for anyone not sold on the technology, let me assure you that this key-sized tool is absolutely invaluable.I've been using this for only a couple of months, but already I don't know how I ever got along without it.Instead of having to continuously burn CDs to bring files back and forth from work or having to carry around stacks of floppies so that I always have the most recent copy of my homework with me, I simply put everything onto this little gadget.I get 512 Megabytes in something that weighs about an ounce.

From a geek standpoint, this thing really performs.I've successfully had it working on a Windows XP system, Windows 2000 Professional, RedHat AS 2.1, Mac OS X, and the SuSE 9.1 Linux laptop that I'm typing this review on.The only Operating System I've had trouble with was SuSE 9.0, but my understanding is that the problem was with the OS rather than this equipment (apparently the version of the Linux kernel they were using had more than a few hardware issues).

I really like the physical design of this.It's tiny, but it's not at all delicate.It's extremely durable which is a boon for us clumsy members of the population.I've been (accidentally) thumping the tiny thing around quite a bit with absolutely no ill-effects.I also appreciate that the cap and the main portion are all part of the same unit.I've seen other thumb drives where the cap actually removes completely when you want to plug in.I'm certain this has led to literally thousands of users who have quickly misplaced their cap.Again, as I appreciated the anti-clumsiness factor, I also appreciate the attention paid to those of us who would loose the little bits and pieces if they aren't physically attached.

In short, I'd be lost without this lifesaver.Its capacity is definitely large enough for anything I use.It's fast, it's light and it's strong.I couldn't ask for anything better.It's small and convenient enough that I can simply wear it around my neck (using the provided cloth necklace) and not have to think about it until it's needed.And I know that when I do have to think about it, it'll just work.I'd go into withdrawal if I had to give up this thing. ... Best features, best stability, best value
Of all the current major anti-virus/anti-spyware/firewall suites, this package is simply the best.The tools here are fast, reliable, robust, and do not install secret DLLs like Symantec/Norton products.This is also a great value, even before rebates, and the new anti-spyware and anti-phishing tools are innovative and effective.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!
Unfortunately I couldn't rate this product as ZERO. From the time I installed this software on my computer, it started acting strangely: computer freezes, crashes, etc. To top this off it directed me to a bogus Microsoft Update site. Eventually, I couldn't even access my ISP. Needless to say, I uninstalled this crap from my computer right away. But who's to say that I won't continue to have problems in the near future. This is what happens when you install products from shady characters. Pay no attention to the positive feedback on this product, but if you are a gambler and can afford to destroy your computer of sacrifice your security, then go on ahead and install this on your system. Be forewarned, however, that your risk will be high.

Eats Norton for Breakfast
I had Norton free for 3 months when I first bought my latest computer. When the trail Period ran out I was going to renew the Norton but the cost of renewing it was quite expensive so I looked into other Anti-viruses.
With Norton it Glitches with a lot of software you run on your computer (ie; Sims).
PC-cillin works great, it is very user friendly and you don't need to be Bill Gates to figure it out.
I have had no problems running other software with PC-cillin.
Also bare in mind that with Norton Anti-Virus you don't get the Firewall with it you have to pay for higher version.
Overall I would recommend the PC-cillin over Norton.
The only down side to PC-cillin it seems to update every five minutes and it can get annoying if you are running other software at the same time. ... Read more

Stylish junk
This is a very compact unit, using only a single AAA battery for power, with a built-in USB connection for downloading music.Unfortunately, that's where the compliments end.

I've found this device to be unreliable and generaly flakey.Some music files cause playback to simply freeze, requiring a "reboot" (unplug the battery) to continue.Often the unit will simply stop playing "for no reason".The tiny amount of power available from the single battery is insufficient to produce any kind of volume, even on very efficient headphones.Operating at higher volume levels (more than 3/4 of the way up) results in the unit shutting down after a few minutes.Even the most efficient external speakers elicit the same result.I would expect that all of the other MuVo TX family members are just as flakey, but this is the only one I've tried.I wouldn't recommend this unit or any of it's siblings to anyone.

Easy to use
I bought this before a deployment while in the Army and I loved it.No wires to mess with while downloading music and it can be add to almost any computer as a generic storage or jump drive.Very light weight, very compact, and very easy to use.

Simply. Great.
I got this as a present and it is fantastic, it can even handle my DRM protected online purchased music and the earphones are really THAT great ;)

I love the MuVo TX.I've read many reviews about it on many different websites, such as amazon, bizrate, and epinions before purchasing it, and I'm glad that I did.The only problem I had pertained to the defective earphones.I have no idea whether or not they were meant to be that way, but the right earphone stretches quite a bit further than the left one.Other that that, the MuVo TX rocks.I jog just about everyday, and it stores me enough music to last a few miles.I highly recommened it.

A lot lacking for this kind of money
While convenient and a nice, lightweight unit, the voice pickup is very poor, regardless of how you adjust the set.This is not only with the set I have used, but with others I have talked to - you can tell if the person on the other end of the phone is using one of these units because they are so faint.I've gotten so I just ask if they're using a Plantronics CS50 when they are faint and the answer is invariably "yes".Also, if you are in a building with a lot of exposed metal (window/door frames, high cubicles with lots of metal), the range deteriorates significantly.

Works great super fast install

This is a usb wireless headset. just plug it in to your mac or pc and it sees it as another sound device , no drivers needed (xp or os x) I tested it with Skype on the mac and teamspeak on my pc . It comes with a sound api for windows for skype and a few others that allow the buttons on the phone to pickup or hangup calls , I did not try it out because I just like to use apps as is without special add ons ...

The range is great , so if you skype and dont want to be tied to your pc then plug this bad boy in and your free to walk all over the house , same goes for teamspeak for the gamers out there.

a word for Apple People...
First, the review by Ray Price listed here, is fair and accurate. No need to repeat
what he has stated so well. The MC200 is a great little back-up/pocket camcorder.
However, it produces files for Windows based video formats only. It is not "officially" supported by Apple, but, if you are a Mac person, there is a happy solution.
The files produced by the camera can be easily translated into video formats that will be accepted by either iMovie HD or Final Cut Pro HD/Final Cut Pro 5. Go to the website: homepage.mac.com/major 4/ and you will be instructed how you can easily upgrade your Quicktime for MPEG 2, and use a shareware application called" ffmegX" (an easy drag, drop & click program) to reformat the (.MOD) MC200's movie files (or the MC100's/MC500's) for use on the Mac. (You will want to rename the MC200's movie file into an ".MPG" file and then drop it in ffmegX's left column, then, scroll down the right column and convert it to a "MOV MPEG4" or as "DV"
There are additional parameters available in ffmegX, so you can fine tune your settings.
The resulting movie will open up on any Mac [running OSX] with good video and sound and import fluidly into iMovie HD or Final Cut Pro HD/Final Cut Pro 5.
Also, the current version of ffmegX will work in the new Apple OSX 10.4 Tiger for this conversion process).
The MC200 is a fun camera. Like the iPod, there are no drive gears to make any noise; so, the built-in mic doesn't catch any extraneous noise of a camera tape transport motor. Also, not having to deal with tapes is a great time and money saver.

Small Camera packs a nice punch.
The Verio GZMC200 is a great, almost PROSUMER level mini cam.

PROS:Super video quality, highly sensitive built in stereo mic with wind cut, built in flash, ultra compact size.2MB Still capability is very good for daytime shooting. Included 4GB Micro Drive.The fact that the camera accepts two different kinds of media is also a great thing.You can record your movies on the included 4GB Micro Drive while saving your still images to an SD Card.

CONS:Washout of white light by flash.I wish that the 200 model had the pop-up flash like the forthcoming 3CCD model to avoid the overflash you get with this model.The flash is too close to the lens causing the results of your flash shots to look overexposed, especially with lighter backdrops.Another quirky thing is the fact that there is no remote control as you would normally see on a minicam.I was dissapointed to open the box and not have that feature, especially for tripod shooting or self portraits.Built in self timer is good, but doesnt replace a true remote.If you have big hands you wont like removing the Microdrive.Its very difficult to remove the CF Card and there is little room to get a grip on the card to extract it from the slot.This is a minor flaw, but worth mentioning.

Bottom Line:Give this little camera a higher still shot capability (3-5 MP) and a decent flash and a remote and youve got a perfect, miniature Prosumer camera.I hope that JVC will have a remote control on the 3CCD Model.My overall opinion is very good of this camera, but its not perfect and if you are patient and want the quality of a 5MP Still and 3CCD technology, wait for the 3CCD Model to be released later this year.I am anxious to test that one myself.

A Great Video Camera
I have had this camera for 2 weeks now and i am loving it. On my 27inch TV the video quality rivals Hollywood. On the highest quality setting you can shoot 60 min of video, and the battery(cell phone size) only last 60 min before needing recharged so you really have no reason to shoot at any less quality video. The software package is great. I had trouble installing the software at first on my PC, as the installer for the software packet was on a subfolder of the CD and was not on the autostarter main folder of the CD. Instead what "was" on the autostart for the CD was McAffee Firewall Installer. Why that came with the CD i am not sure. The Cyberlink Producer PC program is great. You can Cut, Paste, Add Music and Narrative to your movie. You can make a DVD Menu and chapter selection and burn to a DVD disc using your PC with little effort. I highly suggest you use a tripod with this camera as every little hand twitch and shake will be caught with this camera while shooting video. The camera has two audio speakers on top of the camera for dolby digital sound. The joy involved with seeing something in you video go from the left side of the screen to the right and hearing the sound follow from the left to the right. While watching my home videos on PC There is a little of playing catch up as the video is a little gittering even though my computer is a 1.7Gz and has 650Ram. But once the video is burned to DVD and watched on a DVD Player the video is smooth and uncomprimised. I would highly suggest this camera to anyone as long as you have a tripod and are not shooting video for more than 60 min without buying an extra battery $73 and extra microdrive 2.2Gig for $100 or 4Gig for $180.

Great product, new people might want to wait
This is a great product so long as you know that you are buying a product that is likely to increase in quality and lower in cost quickly. The camera lives up to the claims made by JVC, nothing wrong there. If you are just diving into digital video, you might want to wait for the next generation, for lower cost as well as more products to choose from. The Everio has great software, especially compared to early digital video cameras, and the battery time so far has been great. Overall I have been very happy with this product, but once again, do your homework and know what you are buying...this is not the be all end all of video cameras.

A good SECOND camcorder
While there is much I really like about this camera, its short comings prevent me from recommending it to people who want just one video camera.The problems I am experiencing deal mostly with the camera's POOR performance in medium to low light conditions.While many camcorders excel at producing images in standard room lighting, this camera does a dismal job.In normal room lighting the auto focus will occasionally fail and even at the best of the times the images lack adequate saturation.The manual white balance settings improve the situation only marginally.If you are going to be shooting inside your house, use another camcorder.

Now the upside - the camcorder delivers good quality images when shooting outside.Motion artifacts are occasionally detectable when objects in the scene move quickly but not annoying at all.The zoom is quite satisfying and the auto focus only lags slightly behind when quickly zooming in the 10x optical zoom range.The compact size is spectacular! The standard tripod mount socket is a welcome addition.

And, of course, the whole video editing experience is greatly enhanced by the direct transfer of the camera's hard drive to your editing station's hard drive.(I recommend you get a card reader or PCMCIA adapter, so the camera isn't involved in the video transfer.You can be charging the camera while you are working with the saved video - something you'll do often as the battery only lasts an hour).

The saved video files have a .mod extension.The manual says you should only use the supplied software to edit/play the video files.The supplied software is from Cyberlink and it is adequate.I have found that by renaming the files to .mpg after I have copied them to my editing station, I can edit/play the video files with software not supplied with the camera.Don't know if this will work in all cases, but so far so good.

The still camera images are actually quite nice for a 2 mega pixel camera.They are always saved as JPEG files.I have found no option to save as a lossless TIFF.A real shame since the supplied 4GB microdrive really has enough room to store these big files.

The audio quality is excellent, no complaints what so ever.

One last disappointment - the camera limits maximum file size to 4GB, even if you have a compact flash card that can hold more.As a result it shall forever be impossible for this camera to record more than 60 continuous minutes using the highest quality video setting.Sure, an 8GB card can hold 2 of these 60 minute recordings but something will be missed when the first file hits the 4GB wall and the recording is stopped and the camera waits for you to manually start a new recording session.

Apple Power Mac Dual 2.7GHz G5
This is the new version of the Power Mac G5. I currently own the G5 with the dual 2.5GHz in it but now I'm willing to upgrade. They have four versions of this Power Mac right now: Single 1.8GHz, Dual 2.0GHz, Dual 2.3GHz, and Dual 2.7GHz. They have lowered the prices too which is nice. For some reason I like to go with the most expensive because if you think about it in the long run I would rather spend money on a exceptional computer with technology not even seen on most computers today and have it for 10 years. AMD and Intel are now making dual core processors but they can't stand up to the G5's dual processor capability. No Windows desktop can even have 8GB of RAM either. Most Windows PCs I see today have up to 4-5GB of RAM. This one had 512MB RAM which I would upgrade to atleast 2GB. 250 GB Hard Drive is good but I would recommend getting a 500GB or 800GB hard drive so you'll know you will always have room to store things. It has DVD+/-RW drive upgraded from the DVD-R drive from the previous model. This is better because now the drive can be rewritable. I love the design of the G5 and I can't wait what Apple will do with the G6 or their next power house PC. It comes with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger which is brand new to the market. It's better than the 10.3 no doubt. I haven't upgraded to it the 10.4 yet but I am soon since I am getting this G5. Everything from this model I have heard about is awesome and I can't wait until I pick mine up.

Best Power Mac Yet
